Algy Batten is the founder of Art of Ping Pong, a brand that celebrates the popularity and subculture of ping pong by colliding it with all the colour and fun of art. AoPP expresses it’s love of the game through the creation of products, events, collaborations and supporting good causes.

Algy is also currently a Creative Problem Solver at B+A, the ‘fastest, most creative management consultancy in the world’.

Previously Algy was the co-founder and Creative Partner of branding and design agency Fivefootsix which for 11 years of produced great work with Ben & Jerry's, BBC Children in Need, UEFA, Vita Coco, UNICEF and Nokia amongst others. But was just as well known for publishing their own books and for producing the Art of Ping Pong’s charity auction.

Algy was named in the top ‘100 Makers and Mavericks 2018’ for the creation of Art of Ping Ping’s Mini ArtTable, a mini ping pong table that hangs on the wall as art when not in use. The list featured other creative leaders such as James Dyson, Elon Musk, Tyler Brulé…

Alice Tams

September 9, 2019 Alastair Eland
2019-08-03 07.40.25 1.jpg

Alice Tams is an illustrator obsessed by the colourful, the surreal and the anthropomorphic, who is best known for her ongoing series 'Birds in Hats'. She began her career in London with a market stall on Brick Lane and ended up in an artist's studio in Bermondsey, selling products featuring a plethora of birds wearing hats alongside taking on commercial and personal illustrations. In 2017 she decided there were far too many birds in the world to see, so she packed her studio into her suitcase and took her practice on the road. So far she's travelled through much of east and south-east Asia, painting murals and exhibiting in Malaysia, Borneo, Vietnam and Taiwan so far.

She creates her work both digitally and traditionally, though good old fashioned paint on a page remains her favourite medium. You can catch her this Christmas at the London Illustration Fair attempting her most ambitious, large-scale mural yet. If you play your cards right you may be painted onto the wall in pigeon form. Morag Myerscough

July 29, 2018 Alastair Eland

Morag’s mantra is ‘make happy those who are near and those who are far will come’.

Born and Bred, London, Morag has always lived in the city and has been fascinated by how colour and pattern can change brutal urban environments and peoples perceptions of spaces into places. Morag is known around the world for her distinct approach making large scaffold structures adorned with neon geometric patterns and shapes often incorporating positive messaging hand painted onto plywood.
