 Summer Festival: Psychedelia

Following last year’s hot and juicy tropicana experience, July 2015 saw us launch our fourth event Summer Festival: Psychedelia.

Spread across 10th – 12th July, Hoxton Arches was transformed into a psychedelic inspired cosmic universe, showcasing mind altering artworks from creative agencies, collectives, publications, textile designers, visual artists and print studios from around the UK.

Additional psychic festivities included a ‘print your own Magic Mushroom’ screen printing workshop with Hello Print Studio, silent Wes Wilson auction, The London Illustration Fair print shop, street food vendors, live music, DJs and a fully stocked summer bar.

Exhibitors

Featured Studio: Heretic

Print pioneers Heretic Studio unveiled a selection of highly anticipated new works, as well helped design the Summer Festival’s poster. Heretic’s hypnotic geometric patterns, kaleidoscopic landscapes and florescent colour palette made them our 2015 ‘one to watch’ creative partner.

MURALS

Battling it out throughout the festival we had a live 2D verses 3D illustration show down from all-male illustration crew Brothers of the Stripe and graffiti collective Pen Pushers.

Hoxton Arches’ two outside areas were brought to life by visual art and design collective Bread Collective and London’s mural wizard Malarko.
